Exhaust Install Question

Post by mclaw-mclaren »

This maybe a dumb question. But is it typical or normal for a shop to remove your o2 sensor when you get new exhaust. I mean like whole piping and stuff?

If they're replacing from the exhaust manifolds back, then yes - they have to remove them.

the o2 sensors are in the down pipe but before the cat most people just get a "cat back" and there is no need to remove the O2's
