Help me please tranny prob.

I dont know much about cars so I need some help.. MY Mx-3 5spd wont let me shift into 1st and 3rd gears but the other gears work. Is this problem gonna be hard to fix?? and do U guys think it will cost alot?? Help me out please.

check ur motor mounts. if one is sagging a bit or damaged it will cause the tranny to sit a bit differently and throw the shift rod out of wack.
