Rear wheel bearing replacement??

Who here has done this before?? I have a 93 RS and need to replave the wheel bearing, what is involved? <P>This is what I think but dunno for sure<BR>take off wheel<BR>take off drum<BR>remove spindle nut<BR>take off old bearing<P>is this it or is there more?<BR>What is the size of the spindle nut?<BR>is an axle puller necessary to take bearing off?<P>Thanks<BR>Mike :cool:

Well I did the job .... well sort of the method I spoke of above was the correct one, I did need an axle puller, ( bought a gear puller at a discount tool store for $13) the spindle nut was a Biznitch to get off, I used a 2' johnson bar and a 4' piece of pipe + heat added to nut!! it was a bit of fukkin around. It all went well except for the fact that the inner bearing seat stayed on the spindle, I am going to have to get an oxy-accetyelene torch and burn it off(with out damaging spindle) that bearing seat is the goldish part on the spindle, for ya'll that don't know.<P>I hate Newfoundland cars, dam rust makes every thing shhitty, from now on I will buy every thing else down south(miami) like I did the 3000!!<P> Image<p>[ November 24, 2002: Message edited by: BigBoi ]
