Ok I need help... I am getting ready to start on my car that I got the cash saved up... I am planning on making it into a GT-R Mazda MX-3... now I have about 5 000... but I don't want to spend it all... Now if anyone could get me a list of what all I would need to do and some tips... I would be very greatful... now I am already searching corksport for GTR engines in stock.... Thanks and I hope you can help... :D

you won't find one at corksport. they don't get those in anymore. you can try adelaide jap dismantlers in australia. if you plan on doing any serious mods to this motor, it's not worth the headache of trying to find one. the gtx is cheaper, easier to find, and has the same potential.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.

Well what options do I have with the GTX then..... like what is its potential?

The GTR basically has a bigger turbo, valves with sodium inside (which cool faster), and stronger rods and pistons. For the extra $1000 it cost I'm positive you can boost the GTX engine from 185hp to the GTR's 210hp. The GTX will be a hell of a lot easier to get, and won't be much different.<p>[ April 11, 2002: Message edited by: justin h ]

ok well is there anyplace that will sell the GTX motor cheaper than corksport... like a juck yard or something ?<BR> [img]shrug.gif"%20border="0[/img]
