If i rip out the stock air filter can i just change it with any racing style one i want to make it sound a hell of a lot better then that factory one. I want to rip the pipe and the plastic box out and put a stainless steel one in with a round filter. Possible?

Yes, just be sure to keep the Maf inline........ <P>I think it's the Maf....lol<P>I just changed my filter about 3 months ago.....no probs. But I haven't taken out the pipe yet. Just make sure you get all the little wires and stuff back into the pipe...
