Help ASAP.....intake question

Guys, what is the little hose that came off the stock airbox, right above the filter?? I just replaced mine with a K&N type cone filter, and that little hose I just have hanging there.....will it hurt it?? Also, what's a good way to "hang" the new filter??<P>Thanks
