Just an FYI to everyone buying these wire sets. RC-ZE25 is used for 1992-1993, and RC-ZE35 is used for 1994-1995. Also don't quote me on this but I believe RC-ZE25 wires are 7mm, while RC-ZE35 wires are 9mm, hence the reason why they are more expensive. check out the links for yourselves.

um.....no that's not quite right. I think the best source of part number to model information is the NGK catalogue.

That shows that 2 NGK ignition wire part number listings are given for the MX-3 over its model life; RC-ZE25 and RC-ZE28. You might need to ctrl + the page to zoom the images to make them easier to read.



However the two part listings are very different in the physical length of the plug leads themselves. RC-ZE25 below

The RC-ZE28 plug wire set, has 3 leads within the set, that are much longer than the RC-ZE25 equivalent and when installed looks really messy when used in place of the RC-ZE25. I have also seen the ZE28 set listed for the KF and KL engines which probably explains why some of the wires are "extra" length when installed on the K8. That is because the "wire run" when installed on those engines takes a different path across the engine and manifold.

The RC-ZE35 set does cross reference to a specific K8 Mazda Part #



As far as I can work out the ZE35 set is a 7mm configuration but has a different construction and resistance specification.

Maybe someone can track down the significance of the "odd" Mazda part # K834-18-140B and throw some light on how the ZE35 set fits in to all of this.
