Isn't that regular price they usually go for? I would definitely not use heat wrap crap. Spend extra $$ and get them ceramic coated inside/out. With the coating that's on there they will rust out in a year or two.

Mine have been on for over a couple years and not rusted out lol. Maybe turned a little bronze in colour but if you drive it every day or at least a few times a week I don't see how rust will set in?

Cause these Chinese headers are made out of cheap metal and usually never from 100% stainless, eventually they get brittle, and coating that looks like stainless starts flaking off. I've seen plenty of cars that have these ebay headers and they eventually turned blue-brown-rusty.
Don't get me wrong these are decent headers for the money, that's all that's available now for guys with KL series engines. Eventually I plan on getting a set as well and swapping a ZE in but I will have them ceramic coated inside/out

Gee first time I've heard some one not happy with them. I bought a set and I believe 5 years later they're still on the car with no problems. Another point is, spending a lot of money on higher priced parts may not be in some peoples budget or the car itself may not be worth it particularly if you only spent $12-1800 to buy the car in the first place. My 5 cents. :D

Yeah I had a set on my MX6 and they started looking rusty and gross because the chrome stainless coating peeled right off in months. I wouldnt mind buying another set but like mitmaks said ill get mine coated as well. It just sucks because isnt there something you have to cut to make these fit? If it was the actual headers you would have to put them on, cut THEN take them back off and get them coated or is do you have to move the CAT back more?

Where the cross over pipe bolts to the manifolds I installed a 3 bolt spacer that gave me better clearance from the oil pan. Other than that you have to cut around 8" off your exhaust as the header cross over pipe terminates further down stream than the MX-3 pipe.

I have the same headers and the EGR pipe is nowhere close to fitting. I had to bend and "massage" the egr tube to fit. I then just cut the exhaust back to fit the header. I figured it would be easier to weld on OEM metal than Chinese "stainless". Besides that, they are great for the price I paid(about $120) and I have no other complaints.
