oh man i love type R´s my dream car is a 2nd gen NSX type R. the one with the bubble headlights

I think my next MX3 will be red. If i can find one. I like the red reflector up front too. but only because the car is red.

Im sold on the clear blinkers too i may copy this idea for my machine.

SO, I picked up a brand new OEM mazda KL knock sensor. Here is some of the pics from all that fun.

Image old rusty and dead knock sensor

Halfway through the tear down, I decided to check the thermostat, as the mx-3 was taking a long time to warm up.

That's not normal....

And a nice string of RTV on the other side...

And one more

I actually painted the orange ones with VHT niteshades. They are a bit darker than the factory, but only in low light. I also did the blinkers red.

I admit, its a little RED overkill. BUT, in my defense, the car is going to be painted soon and the reflectors will be changed.

Ill post pics off all the light tomorrow so you can see them in the daylight.

I had some mixed emotions when it came to the clear front signals. I like them most days..:freak:

Almost forgot...

Saturday was my birthday. I organized a small cruise through Austin. Here are a couple pics.
Image
Image

After the cruise, we went to the track. There was a special event that night. No tree, no times. Hand drops and green light. As close as you can get to street racing a still do it legally. Couple videos to share from that:

First video, the car pops out of first gear right on the launch.....and the jackass calls it a Honda. Sorry for my girlfriends commentary.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swaQYxZNpp0

Second video, racing a 2012 Scion TC with some bolt on.....its too loud.
And he loses.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rJZt3z-Oo0

Third video, against the hatchback again...this time I didn't lose first gear....listen to that KLDE SCREAM!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_3nCuDO9zs

Last video, Old customer of mine. Has a nice motor with a bunch of bolt on's, chipped ecu, etc etc. Runs a 14.5
I get him for almost the first 60ft, then he jumps a car, every gear. Lost by 3. Oh well.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MF9mYOOT6jA

Enjoy! :love2:

And the winner is....Josh!

You are the first person to nail it. It came off of a mid 80's model MR2.

I was going to make something of it..but never did. I ended up taking the hood emblem off my car because it was holding on by a thread. I couldn't bare to look at the holes in my hood :welder: ......And that brings everyone up to speed

You sure do! You are the new proud owner of my friendship!

If i was keeping the car red, I would buy an efini badge...then the steering wheel to match it.

OEM MS Pedals. Thanks Chris(Postman2k)!!!

The clutch and brake pedals will slide on with some messaging and a little lube.....

The gas pedal is going to be a little bit harder. The MS pedal is almost flat, where our MX-3 gas pedals have a nice curve to them. Time to bring out the welder....

And then pics as promised for kulluminati777.

I like the hood badge. Those pedals are something ill have to try and get for myself if you get a way to mount the gas pedal.

I LOOOOVE the red man. Its a shame your changing it. Yeah the reflector idea is dope. I dont have any reflectors at all or I would do a tinted thing like yours with black VHT instead of red VHT.
