DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!!!! Don't even go look at it... I wasted 6 hours driving and renting a trailer to find out it has big time frame rot. Where the trailing arms connect to the frame were not even there (the MX3's achilles heel)! It's the first thing I looked at when I got there. He told me it was rust free and great shape. It is not. 
Such a piss off! But I have 2 more to look at....

Man I feel you on this one. I also rented a trailer a couple years back to get a "rust free" mx3 shell. That sucks so much! I know someone who took a drive for a car that was concours and he drove many hours for absolutely nothing. What did the guy say to you when you noticed that he's either stupid or lied?

Right when I looked under the car he said ohhh I don't know much about cars... Though he was driving a lowered civic with fart cannon... Also said it was safetied 6 months ago which was not a real safety at all!

OR Call the Mazda Dealership in Belleville. A female mechanic there has a real nice MX3 that she never drives. She may sell it.

I will post some pics of the MX I have up here in Ottawa.. I will be calling a scrap yard to pick it up. I've offered it to friends for 200 bucks. I know your in Toronto so its a bit of a jaunt.. May not be worth the tow for you..

i have a mint 92 auto gs with rebuilt tranny at 100,000 and fresh black paint. i havnt driven it for 300 kms since the paint
