Ignition Rotor issues
So my Vehicle i believe still has the rotor from 93, so i went out and bout new cap and rotor, plugs and wires. I got the plugs and wires in place, next was the cap and rotor. When i pulled out the rotor i marked the position. The cap is a direct match with the old one, The rotor on the other hand is 180 degrees opposite the original. anyone else have this issue or solution? Both autozone and pepboys have the rotor thats 180 degrees off. Anyone know where i can get the correct one?

Re: Ignition Rotor issues
so your car is not a 93? but you have the rotor.......did you unscrew or replace the thing the rotor slides onto? If so maybe you put it back on wrong it all lines up a certain way in the disty....maybe you can steal that piece from another disty so that it lines up right because alot of them are different i found that out when i put my external coil on ......just an idea

Re: Ignition Rotor issues
The Car is a 1993 Mazda MX-3 GS V6 1.8L, The problem is that the new rotor dosent macth the original. The original looks like this when put in (---->) but the new one looks like this when put in (<----). The cap has the six points but if i put the new rotor in my timings off by 180 degrees.
they both have have a triangle design on the bottom the end that puts out the charge is like this (-->-->) but the new one is like this (<-->--), i hope u understand now.
Any solutions?

Re: Ignition Rotor issues
You sure you got the right part? Maybe take your old one in and compare.
