You doing a Meagsquirt setup? Back when I was getting mine ready, I couldn't find that info either, nor could anyone tell me  :crying:

All IIRC, it's been a while...

there are two sensors inside the (94??) disty:
The first detects a 6 vane / toothed rotating trigger
The second detects a 180deg cam sensor with 1 vane / tooth IIRC

For dual trigger you want the 180 one. Take it apart and follow the signal. I doubt you have an oscilloscope to check otherwise. Here is what your MS wants to see from the crank (the 6 peaks) and the cam (the long flat line peak). The Megasquirt uses the 180deg to reset the count for each half rev, so it knows where one set of 6 from the crank starts/ends.

I used that to finally prove my wiring was correct to Shaodome, then he fixed it - dead processor :)

All I have logged is, might be correct:
MS G Signal(CID) White/grey= Purple/w white stripe& blue dots(246 pin 4)(L)

Trial and error works too

Unfortunately I cannot remember which colour wire it is, I disliked even having the disty there, and went with a 36-1 wheel on the crank.

Well, the thing is I don't use a 94 disti.

I use the ZE disti; a picture from inside

I agree that the wiring from G signal (CID) = 31/ white/grey = purple, white stripe, blue blocks.

i don't know what pin it is on the 4 pins of the disti

It might be possible that I use the wrong wire; so it causes my engine not to rev over 4.000rpm.

if you used the wrong one I think your displayed RPM would be nothing like reality.

Use the continuity / beep test on your multimeter to work out what terminal that sensor outputs to.

Have you got over run turned off? Rev limit is normal set to 7000 or whatever? Launch control is turned off?

Displayed RPM looked plausible.

With the beep test you can't test what sensor is linked to what pin. Nothing is being "charged" since the coil is not turning.

Launch control is off
Rev limiter is soft 6900 and hard 7200.

I used this wiring scemetics.
