Unfortunately the nut can't travel farther down either way. I test fit the nut directly onto the strut, and the travel is just short. It sucks, but I'll probably have to go to stock mounts if threadlocker blue(and then red later) fails.

Blake, did you make sure the nut you are using is the proper matched threads? It sounds dumb but I remember when we put it together originally there were like two odd nuts. also switching to a locknut might help as well. did you get new front struts?

Lock nuts, Lock washers and Lock tight red. they wont come lose then. if they do, those plates arnt meant to be

The nut is a perfect match in both diameter and thread pitch. The original issue was with the rear strut mounts having a different thread pitch(1.5mm vs 1.25mm), and we discovered that early on thankfully!
The front struts are brand new KYB Excel-G(New name for GR2s)

so it actually is grabbing quite a bit of thread by the looks of it. have you counted how many threads it grabs? k sports camber plates are like this too.

Yeah that is just the way that they are. You have to use thread locker on them, I would use Red. I will snap a few pics of mine this evening for you on how they are assembled. It seems to me that that nut is for the rear camber plates... I will check.

josh dumb question , but what if the strut needs to be ( pulled out ) to give more thread on the top end.. - im thinking the strut has recoiled and not expanded fully - my friend has identical setup and his goes flush with the bolt and thread..
or possibly the whole assembly some how a piece got flipped for the 323 ?

I should post a pic of it threaded all the way on without the camber plate attached... It won't go very deep, so I think threadlocker is my only option.
Will I really need to heat red threadlocker to remove it? I'd rather not torch the camber plates if I can avoid it...

the trick with strong thread locker is to just rock the bolt/nut back and forth and let it break loose before going full out on it.
