Where can I find RX-8 style wheels to fit my MX-3?
Does anybody know where I can find wheels similar to the RX-8 or Dodge Caliber SRT-4 that are a direct fit for the MX-3?

But I don't think that will they fit in the fenders like the stock ones do??? cause I don't want them to stick out.
Do you mean to swap the whole assembly, or to buy 4 lug to 5 lug wheel spacers?

He means change the hubs. The RX-8 wheels don't have huge offset, Mazda6 guys run them.

I don't think he expects you to do it though...

Try looking for a rep. set of Kahn RC-S or Akamoto axe. Momo Win which are 4x108 so you would have to run an adapter though.

We all want to be fast and look cool. Cool changes but fast never does.

Im running a 12mm spacer in the rear right now, and will be running a 20mm all the way around shortly...

Ahaha. Right, width and backspacing. Clearly I wasn't thinking last night, but then, neither was this nice fellow when he decided to put RX-8 wheels on his car.
Not that it's a bad thing. Stupid decisions lead to EPIC AWESOME! (some restrictions may apply)

Those look like 18s if so then your ride is going to be a little,,,stiff to say the least with the very low profile tires you'd need to stay close to stock height or even to not look like your going 4 X 4ing. We had 18s on an mx3 and it just didn't look right. IMO

Yeah, that looks a bit much. I'm thinking that I want 17s. I will check the Kahn and Akamoto's out.

17s work well but I've often thought with the condition a lot of our streets are in if 16s would be a good middle ground as the additional side wall would provide a little more cushion???? I think proper suspension to suit your tire size is critical. I have 205 40 17s with KYB GR2 struts and 1.5" drop B+G springs and the ride is nice but in saying that I really want to buy 215 45 17. More rubber for that bad azz look, a little more cushion for the street and lower rpms on the highway.

Re: Where can I find RX-8 style wheels to fit my MX-3?
I agree with you Dan, I have 17's on the RS with 215/45's and I love them but does make for a harsh ride. but then the GS has 15's with 225/50's and I think its too squishy of a ride, I think 16's are an ideal size. I have hit some tough corners that I was hitting in my 8 at like 60+ and the GS can only take them at about 50-55 because of the tire roll I finally pushed it enough the other day to slip the rear out just a smidge
But 18's IMO fit our huge wheel wells nicely

Re: Where can I find RX-8 style wheels to fit my MX-3?
I do like more of a stiff suspension. That's one reason that I don't like today's cars.
I want to feel the road when I go over it, and feel like I'm part of the car.
It would be nice, though, if you could try on tires like you try on shoes.
I looked at the Kahn and Akamoto rims, but they are a bit too much for me.
I want some that look more like they came with the car.

You would like my setup then (I have similar preferences).
I'm running 17" rims with 215/40/17 with K-Sport coilovers. Look for a rim that doesn't have universal lug patterns but rather 4x100 only and that will help with the OEM look (that was my requirement as well).
