but an MX-3 is not in my future. I had a lot of great offers from you guys, but in the end I just couldn't find "Miss right.."

and then I saw this:

2005 RX6 6-speed manual. Owned by a pretty good mechanic. Compression on the engine was good, and mazda confirmed all recalls were done. No rust and overall a good car!

I'll still be with you guys here on the MX forums, but yeah.. maybe in the future I'll get another MX!

Haha you didn't know? By removing the small circular part on the top right of the RX8 logo (making it a 6), I go back up to the original rating of 250 HP.It's something to do with emissions and how the US wanted it to be an 8 to make emssions better.

anyways as soon as this weather clears up around here and it's not so damn bad out, I'm going to pick her up. I'm not going to do much driving of her yet, as the RX only has the summer tread and it would be horrendous in the winter, so she'll be parked for now..

Lol, she looks like mine too, but looks like it's not a GT, and I've got no spoiler. Great car, but the only thing I miss is the torque of the ZE, just have to get used to dropping down 2 gears to make moves and passes.

It IS hard to find the right Mx-3, even harder as they get older, and after many years, sometimes it's nice for a change, especially after almost 10 years. I do really miss my Mx-3 for what she was (a second Mx-3 just wouldn't be the same), but I really look forward to what the Rx-8 can be.

Hah! You guys are awesome.

And it is hard... I figure that when I'm better off in life ill get an mx3 to restore completely.

And this isn't a gt. But seeing as how the gt is primarily luxury I don't mind. This has the 6 disc cd though.

Car is currently at 67k miles.

Btw nd are you on rx8club?

I could never get back into an Mx-3, it would be so hard. I could never meet, never mind, exceed what mine was. I'd get one just wishing it was my old one again, it would just be a tease.

I kinda wish I didn't have the GT, I can't sit right with my racing helmet on because of the sunroof, but I'm a fan of everything else. I'm happy to have a sunroof, I've always cursed that my Mx-3 didn't have one (nor A/C). I'm quite content with the Bose stereo system. Indeed it'll get replaced and upgraded in time, but until the money flows, it pleases me. First things on the list is suspension and an exhaust.

Oh course! The irony is that I joined the Rx-8 club to promote and be involved with meets, which ironically means I've been a registered member on rx8club since 2004, heh.

Hah that's awesome. And I could get one simply because I feel like I never fished my dreams of my car. I felt like I was extremely close to having the car perfected.. I had a great running motor (whoever gets that motor is one lucky SOB.. it only has 42k miles on it!), strong transmission.. overall one heck of a runner.. just wanted to do some interior fixing up...

I didn't mind the no sunroof but it would be nice to have. The no AC I couldn't live without.. thankfully mine has it! And I didn't check yet but I'm pretty sure mine has the Bose system as well seeing as how it has the 6-disc changer.. I'd love to upgrade my system but for now it's staying stock.. I am going to sell my old sound system to make up some money that I can use to help pay this car off. I would love to pay this car and get the payments dropped as much as I can..
