Orignially I had the KLDE Mx running on a KL55 ecm and KL02 VAF. Threw a host of codes, knock sensor included. Did a bunch of work and fixed most of them, but never touched the knock sensor.
So I had a K801 and JE50 installed when I started actually driving it.
It threw the O2 codes (17 and 24?) as soon as I hit 2.5k RPM. Also threw 69 sometimes.
Put in a KL55/KL02 after a tank of fuel, and no CEL for about 150 km's, and then suddenly I get EGR position and EGR vent, and one more which I forget, probably 17...
WTF?
ECM's don't agree with whats wrong. How is that possible?

You have a pin out problem with the wiring harness is sounds like... I'm thinking pinout too.
The harness is.... I don't even remember. 93 ATX? Same with chassis, I think.
Engine is ?? 626
Trans is 94 MX-6
I had to move pins around to get the speedo to work.
Definitely drove the K801 enough, 4 trips at 60 km/ trip.
Reset the KL55, and no more codes as of yet. The CEL appeared the first time when I was idling through town (50 km zone) in 5th.
Its just strange, and I don't want to chase down a pinout issue in this weather. It can just have a CEL.

I don't think the EGR gets monitored until you are over 80km/h and you have to be at a steady cruise for a while... I know my gf's mx3 had a pintched vacuum line to the egr valve when we bought it... The light didn't come on till I had been cruise for 5 min down the hwy... before that I had driving the car for over 30min all around town...Ryan wrote:I'm thinking pinout too.
