So I get pulled over...

Post by SuperK »

for speeding. 56mph in a 40, is what the cops says.

The ironic part? I'm sitting on the side of the road, cop behind me, running my license, and right in front of us is a sign that says "55mph"

and behind the cop some yards down the road, is another sign that says, "55mph"

How much was the ticket for? 180 dollars. F*ck you, Englewood, TN, for ruining my date day with my fiance, and for making me go to court over officer pig's ticket.

Take your ticket, a photo of the area where you were pulled over and request a copy of the cops on board camera. Then hire a lawyer and press for damages for profiling.

Though luck...

But you were still doing 56 in a 40.

Just accept the ticket, pay it and done.
How many times do you speed and not get pulled over...
Just another Mx3 freak :)

Whitefinish, if there was a 55 sign either side of where he got pulled over, that means it's not a 40 zone... ;)

All the best with getting this sorted out, SuperK, I really hope it all works out ok for you without too much extra hassle.

I'm going to go to court. hopefullly he will dismiss it and tell me, "go pay your court fees"
If not, I'll look at the judge and tell him just that, without the officer pig part.

"Your honor *grovel grovel grovel* I was pulled over between two 55mph signs. One in the front of me, one in the back..."

wait for response, then hopefully if he's just like, "pay your court fines and get out" I'll do exactly that. but if not and he asks for more details, i'll give him the sob story of how we were on a date and the places we went, and the fact that the 40mph zone was only a 1/4 mile strip, followed before/after 55mph zones, it was 9pm and only me and another vehicle, pull the whole, "it wasn't my intention..." line as always. and if he waives me off and is like, "go pay your court fees" I'll say, "OK"

But if not, I'll try the whole, "your honor, my record is clean, is there any alternative to keep it that way, any class or other options I have?" and maybe i can just do defensive driving or something, even though that is kinda ridiculous for the situation, hopefully the judge will see that and just tell me, "go pay your court fees" and I'll say, "OK"

or maybe he'll give me the option of that stupid class, i dunno.

180 bucks is worth going to court over. sigh. watch me pay the ticket, then the court fees, on top of having to drive an hour to get there.

Didn't you ask the,,Bacon where he clocked you because if it was in the 40 zone accept your transgression and the resulting penalty you incurred for it and carry on with your worthless existence. You could use the money from Laptop sales to cover the ticket. :P
