Hatch strut removal

Post by gio289 »

A very novice question. I already tried the search button. How do you remove them? I'm in the car right now and it looks like I have to remove the back panels infront of the rear bench but how do I do that? I've removed all of the bolts I can see but something is still holding it in place.

You can do it by removing the panels, but it's possible without. I suffered many scrapes doing so, but I managed to get a small open end wrench in there with 1 hand and remove them. It sucked when my golf club shaft(Carbon fiber hatch prop) slipped and I crunched my arm too. Lesson learned, remove em!
