Hey,
i made the KLZE swap few year ago, and gonna start fixing some minor problems now.
First of all my Knock sensor cable broke, i do not know how, the connector fell off and found it laying around in the engine bay, and all i can see is 1 red cable comming from the knock sensor, looks like a coax cable, my question is, is there really supposed to be only one cable from the knock sensor? if so can i just reconnect it to the connector? the connector has 2 holes but i find only one cable, driving me crazy! I assume this red cable should be the one connecting to the ecu (Yellow/blue cable if i remember correct), im really going crazy bout this one, dont really feel like taking apart the IM to swap knock sensor right now.
To my 2nd question, i now got a stock K8 ecu, would a KL31/KL36 be a direct fit, no modifications required?
Thanks

Thats cool, i dont like rewiring that much
Ive read somewhere that kl36 is for auto transmission, but mine is manual, should i go for a kl36 anyways or is the kl31 recommended then?

Re: Questions: Knock sensor cable? KLZE ECU direct fit?
Ok, ive tried reading up on the ecus and if i understand correctly i might need to install another temp sensor to not get the "fan always on"-problem, is there any way around this problem except installing another sensor?

Nope, I think the KL31/36 are 92-93 ECUs only it seems.
