will a 89 escort trany fit in my MX3?

My trany is shot and I need a new one. Will a 5 speed trany out of a 89 escort gt. Fit On my 94. Dohc 1.6?

'89 Escort GT is a 1.9L, so no. You need the second gen Escort GT's from the '90's with the 1.8L DOHC motor. The trans from that should work. You might need the axles and half-shaft as well, but I cant remember. Just search, the info you need is here on the forums.
