A/C Compressor? Are V6 and 4cyl's the same?

Post by Dark_Rider2k3 »

Okay so here is the deal. I need to change my A/C Compressor, and Ryan has one that is R134a Compliant.

However, his came out of the V6.

So, are the V6 compressors the same as the 4cyl?

Thanks everyone!!

No.

Compressor Part Numbers:

4 Cyl:
92-93: EA01-61-450
94-96: EA76-61-450C

6 Cyl:
92-93: EA03-61-450
94: EA70-61-450C

Unless they only differ by brackets between RS and GS...

I would assume the part #'s are different because the pulleys are different. I just didn't know if it went beyond that.... hmm...

it IS more than that. i had a 4 banger on my V6 and it didn't like it at all. even though everything on the harness was the same, it had problems short cycling. save your dough for the right part instead of buying the same thing 2x like me
