NAPA Gold oil filters on sale today & tomorrow

Post by fowljesse »

I don't know if it's national, but NAPA gold filters are on sale (½ off). I got 2 (the ones for a Corvette ZR1) for $4ish each! They are one of the best filters available, and at these prices, I change them with every oil change. It may sound excessive, but my stock GS still runs like brand new.

Sorry, Dan. I couldn't get to the computer today. They are the ones for the Corvette ZR1 DOHC. I get them for a '93 because it's the same year as my car _ easy to remember.

It works as a small sump, so when you accelerate (as I know you do  ), you are less likely to starve your oil pump. Also, with more oil, it cools better, and with more filtering element, you filter better. All of these aren't that much more of a difference, but for the price (especially on sale), it doesn't hurt. They (especially good filters) don't restrict as much as cheap ones, so I think you get better pressure to oil your stupid #6 cyl.
