speedo sensor

so which one do I need to use? I have a 96 mx6 trans in a 93 gs. I still also have the speedo gear/sensor from my k8 automatic and the mx6 one is in the trans. I could easilly frankenstein my harness (stock k8) to use the mx6 sensor, but im just curious if it will read correctly and all that. I didnt install the k8 one cause I was unsure if the gear was correct and what not. Anyone wanna clear this up for me?

yes it will read correctly, the speedo itself is the same, the speedo sensor's gearing is different so use the mx6 speedo sensor with your harness and please solder and shrink tube the connections if you do so. The sensors have different colours to tell you what the tooth count is so you can pull the mx6 one and see if they are the same tooth count, if so then they are the same and you can use the k8 one.

thanks. I hav much expierence with wiring and always solder all connections. I will just make sure I get the wiring hooked up correctly. thanks for the prompt response
