Re: One Piece Aluminum B-Pillar Bar
thanks for posting those, i was wondering about that. i think you've got the right idea to chop that part just enough so its flush with the bottom of the b-pillar bar bracket
the bolt is an M12 x 1.25 . 1" long should do it

Re: One Piece Aluminum B-Pillar Bar
All bars are tacked and test fitted. tomorrow night I plan on finishing all welding and hopefully will have time wednesday after work to drop them off at the powdercoaters.
For the 3 "no cut" bar guys... Iam going to see about having the part of the bracket that is hidden behind the plastic masked off because they fit just right, and i don't want the added width of the coating to throw it off. It was also tricky to install when i test fitted the 3 bars by myself. Just a suggestion if you get a second person to help it will make it alot easier. its one of those times when you need 3 hands

Re: One Piece Aluminum B-Pillar Bar
All three finishes turned out REALLY nice.. my crappy camera cant do close ups and dosen't show the finish at all, but i think everyone will like them.

Good question ! i want to get my hands on some long sheets of cardboard and make tubes out of it. I went to the post office and 2 couriers looking for 4' long tubes and they dont have anything that big.Mooneggs wrote:oh those are so sick! As soon as we pay the balance, How soon can you ship?

Re: One Piece Aluminum B-Pillar Bar
I wouldn't pay any money for cardboard... most businesses will give their cardboard boxes away if they haven't already compacted it... just ask for a shipping and receiving manager and usually they will give it away. Once you get some boxes, I would cut them open and spread them out (all 4 panels) that should be long enough to make "tubes" out of them... maybe get a little bit of bubble wrap for the ends or something...JWMX3 wrote:Good question ! i want to get my hands on some long sheets of cardboard and make tubes out of it. Just bundle them up real good - they should be ok! I'm excited to get mine and install them!!
