The clutch on my MX3 failed last week and I took it to a garage to get repaired. They took over a week to repair and said the spigot bearing had seized. Anyway they fitted a new clutch and replaced the spigot bearing. I have just picked it up and I am getting loads of vibration through the gear stick and at certain speeds a real knocking\ clonking sound and vibration through it. The knocking comes straight through the top of the gear lever its loud enough to actually hear when your driving. Any ideas what they have cocked up or havent put back right?
Just for info there is no vibration when its in neutral even when the car is moving and it never vibrated like this before.

Yes all the vibration and knocking is coming through the gear stick.

im not a clutch expert nor a mx-3 expert but it could possibly be ur shifter bushing just gave. if there is a lot of play in the stick ive seen the common problem being the bushing. m cousins 93 protege did this.
