We've been over it many times. The mx-3 isn't designed for a rotary or RWD. Anything will work out with time and money. You can make a chainsaw and snowblower from a V8, a Smart with a GSXR motor, throw a Honda B16 Vtec into an original Mini, a Ford 5.0L into a Miata, a 3-rotor 20B into a Toyota AE86, a RB26DETT into a 60's Mustang (See Tokyo Drift), a Ford SHO into a Ford Festiva, a V8 into a Focus, a Corvette LS1 into a Civic, a V8 in an Rx-7, a Jet Engine powered VW Bettle, twin-engine Tiburon....get the point?

Look into those swaps and you'll see what you'll be getting into.

If you need to find if Miata/Rx7 transmissions are interchangeable, ask the Miata & RX7 guys....

You must realize FWD transaxles and RWD transmissions direct power in different directions!

no no no no and... no.

We all seem party poopers, but unless you've gor some serious welding skills, the ability to make your own axles, and a good 10g's lying around, no!

RX7 and Miata are RWD, meanind the transmissions, if they do intechange, still only shoot the power backwards. You need a custom driveline, and to retrofit a rear end, rear suspension... everything.

626, MX6, and Probe tranny and mx3 tranny are interchangeable within the V6's. The 4cyl probes, 626 and mx6 are all F series motors and those are fairly useless to us, again, unless you've got some fabrication skills.

Escort, 323, some proteges, Tracers, and sephias enginge bays will entirely swap with the 4 cyl mx-3's.

Thats all for bolt in's

Exactly. I think this is the guy that thinks that the Mx-3 and the Miata are on the same platform and you can convert an Mx-3 to RWD. I did find some brief information that a Miata trans works on a rotary, or was it the other way around, but it wasn't conclusive.

As RYAN said, a RWD conversion on an Mx-3 isn't easy or cheap.

Secondly, if you want information on Miata and Rx-7 transmissions, ask the Miata and Rx-7 guys.

please read everything i put down before you replay thanks i told you i did talk to some people that work with miatas and rx-7 ok the two transes are swapable.. and im not wanting to make the mx-3 a RWD so please think about but that the bp can swap with a 13b thats the trans ok.. so that means the 13b can bolt up to a g trans .. get it know .. i know that it would take alot to get to fit if it would even fit at all because of the Engine design so please its only a thought thats all it is and it can be done but a lot of mods would have to be done to make it work.. it would be cheaper to buy a new car.

As long as you know that...there's many that some here thinking it's apparently something as easy and a KL swap.
