Adjusting valve clearance
How hard is it to adjust the valve clearance on a stock V6 '92 or '94 GS? It looks to me like you have to take off all of the intake manifold and everything. Is this the case?

Do you mean valve lash?
If that's the case, it's impossible. The K8 engine has HLAs, so the lash is hydraulically adjusted.

where did you get the idea to adjust the valves?

MX-3 w/ curved neck millenia klde, boosted @ 5 psi. /bov and wastegate are good!/ nitto drag radial/ gutted interior/ millenia red top injectors, vortech fmu/aem wideband/ all bolts ons/ Car put together 100% by me. Mechanic? who needs a mechanic? ew.. real men work on their own cars!

probably used to older cars where you had to manually adjust valves. Not on these cars lol. Im sure if you were to take it to mechanic, depending on mechanic they would tell you that 'you need to adjust your valves".hgallegos915 wrote:where did you get the idea to adjust the valves?

As already stated the MX3 valve clearance is not adjustable. Many cars of similar vintage need valve adjustment as part of regular maintenence including most Toyotas and Hondas.
