Hey guys, well the guy at autozone gave me a nice deal for 5 quarts synthetic oil, k and n filter, oil collector, gunner, shop towels for 32 dllrs
i took it.. now the euqstion is...
I use 1040.. the cheap kind of my car because it was leaking from one of the cam gears... well it stopped leaking.. i used 40 because of the ebay turbo i run with the valve i made... so that the oil wont leak past the seal... my main and rear seals are new.. will using synthetic mess up my set up? should I get regular non synthetic oil since I know that one wont leak past the cam seal and use the synthetic on my 01 4 cyl eclipse instead?
TELL ME!! lol
any input is greatly appreciated.

DON"T!!! Do not do it! You will start leaking from EVERYWHERE!!! I have been there and done that, not worth it at all....
Just stick with the regular 10w40 stuff...

Yeah, I used the expensive synthetic, Redline, and it just turned out bad... I had no leaks, then all of a sudden I have 4 leaks.... go figure!

I dont think I need it, over here our winders rarely reach freezing point, if they do its just a few days of the month.

If your ZE is somewhat low mileage I say fix the oil leaks you got then run it. Running a conventional oil because syntheioc leaks is just stupid. Plus the 40w would help with some blow by and leaking thru the turbo seals at high temperatures.
