greasing window track?

Post by Dark_Rider2k3 »

For my power windows, is there a special grease or something I can get to "lube" the track? Both windows have trouble going up sometimes, and I want to see if this solves it. It doesn't happen all the time, but it usually happens on my driver side.

thanks!

edit:

Can that also be used for the seat belt track? Or is it dry graphite?

That kinda sticks as well lol.

I didn't get around to the window track yet, but I found my problem with my windows. The driver's switch is not making a good contact in the "up" position, and after fooling around with it, I found that I am going to need a few parts from it. So if anyone has a window switch that does not work (but the plastic "switch" is intact and the metal area with the ball and spring is in working condition) PLEASE let me know. I'll pay for it if your reasonable.

speaking of busted a-- windows, when I first got my mx3 the power window wouldn't roll down at all it was suck all the way up and wouldn't budge. then one day I was really pissed off at having to open the door when I go into a drive thru window and forced the window down. it 'kinda' works now it rolls down about half way then gets stuck, I have to give it a push down for it to go down, same thing when rolling up it goes up by itself halfway but I have to give it a pull for it to roll the rest of the way. not sure if I also need lube but I'm willing to try since its really annoying. any other uses the lube can be used for be sure to let me know if you catch my drift
