MegaSquirt not reading wideband correctly.

Post by fowljesse »

I just wired a DynoJet wideband O2 commander setup into a MSnS V3, using the DynoJet yellow and White output wire as the input to MS. The DynoJet Guage works, but the MS says the AFR is about 3.5, when the guage reads about 13:1.
Can anyone tell my why this would be?

Hmm is your config file set up to understand it? By that I mean selecting a wideband over narrowband. Does the AFR of 3.5 change, or is it constant? Definately on the right wire? I know my AEM 0-5v output is the white wire. Maybe you have connected MS to the narrowband emulated output of your WB controller?

I agree with ^^. Sounds like it's set to read from a narrow band(0-1 volts), when in actuallity, it's reading from a wide band(1-5 volts)

Yeah, I changed it to "wideband", and set the other part to 2.5v. It changes it to 2.509, though
The AFR guage on the MS does change, but it acts like it did when it was reading the narowband; it goes from 3ish to the stoichiometric range (14ish to 15ish), and then skips to the "lean" range.
The guy I got the wideband setup from said he had it wired to his MS, and the wire I used was sticking out of a harness with other output, and datalogging wires. It had electrical tape on it, as if he just pulled it off.
