Going from Maintenance to a labor of love

Well Last night while crawling around under the mx3 replacing the very rusty brake a fuel lines and tank i figured i would undercoat it again while i was there.
The previous owner had it undercoated several times before i owned it so i thought nothing of it, until i found my first hole then another , and another.

needless to say its time to replace the old welder and get some sheet metal and go to work.
annoying to say the least, i was hoping to have the motor back in it this weekend and being able to tune the squirt monday.

I lived in Ft. Drum/Watertown NY for a few years, so I feel your pain. Come to think of it, Germany's about as bad. We don't really get alot of snow here, but they love to throw down salt all winter long
