Pictures In Threads Don't Auto-Resize?

Post by Nd4SpdSe »

I know they used to at one point, but I've noticed for the last little bit that they don't and actually put a window in the post where you not only have to side-scroll, but up down as well. It's very, very annoying and looks quite bad.

bump...anyone not find it annoying? Doesn't help that I've spend 3 weeks with just my 1024x768 tabletpc laptop, with another 4 weeks to go, and side-scrolling to read threads are a pain! I run 1280x1024 on my desktop and it still happens, just not as often of course

Haha.. I know exactly what you mean. I just don't read threads like that. Not only do you have to scroll the actual browser, but you have to scroll the post too. Since english is read from full left to full right(weird, eh?) you need to scroll both back and forth for each line...

So I skip those pages/threads :)

Works fine on my dual monitors. I resized my pics when they oversized here but ya, scrolling is a pain in the assinaboine.

At home I have dual 4:3 17" LCD's (I hate widescreen) so there's the few occasions when I've had to side-scroll, and i'm running 1280x1024.

I've been on the road for the last going on 6 weeks, and I've got another 5 at least, and I'm using my 12" tablet PC that it's max resolution is 1024x768.

As I've said, the forums used to resize pictures to fit automatically, it was nice. And I'm definitely getting a larger screen laptop just for the forums, especially when my tabletpc works great and it's size is very beneficial, especially in the tight constraints of an airplane. for a 4-6 hour flight.

I got tired of side scrolling too, so I bought a 22in widescreen. There are slight occasions when I do have to side scroll, but I just deal with it.

Their used to be an addon to the sie that would resize the large photos people posted.
Since we did a major upgrade to version 3, most of the addon;s were removed.

I understand the frustration, but really it only takes common sense by the people posting the photos. Resie the photos before posting to a size that is more reasonable for the web. If you wish to post the full size ones link to them instead of putting them inline.

Thanks,

Lol I LOVE widescreen, cause I watch movies on my pc, and all my movies are widescreen :P
I noticed the resizing problem as well, that's why I resized my pics from the meet before posting them ;D
