While admittedly, there is definitely room here for something shady to go down, it seems that Ray is genuine about making an effort to work within the accepted practices of the forum. In the end you can never know with certainty that someone we've never met and don't really know much about is trustworthy, so you either go forward here and try to save the membership a bit of money, or let them go to EBAY and roll their dice there.

In the end, regardless of what you do on the forum, a lot of people are going to be sending Ray their money. At least from here they will be asked to send a bit less of it.

I will be buying a set. My $.02

They came to US.. they have been working with us since they first started the molds. Spyder and Ray have been on the forums and spending much time answering everyones questions and putting up with the same stupid question over and over again. They adjusted their pricing to compete with ebay. They do not shaft out of country customers with outragous shipping. This also allows us to contribute to mx-3.com at the same time.

I think you'd have to be an a$$ to go else where.

My only suggestion, that I made before, is that someone local to them, pays a visit to the warehouse, and meets Ray in person. Is this a reasonable request?

Otherwise, the buy looks like it may proceed, and there will be more risk involved.

What is the risk, since we can use Credit cards with Ray/Spyder and if needed cancel the charge?

I think the people that voted no should explain why they think that way! That might affect other people.

I vote "Yes" because I want another set besides the ones I'm testing. Ray has contacted the right people, and kept communication, even after Spidy53red basically stole his lights (according to Ray). Ray didn't try to put up links, or go behind anyone's back.
I could be viewed as biased, but I do want a group buy, instead of buying my next ones straight from him.

Your joking right??
Ray IS the middle man making a dollar just like Spyder Auto. Wasn't Spyder the first to post up the pic?? Then Ray came on after Spyders posts were locked. No one stole lights... They were made by a huge company in Tawian and sold out to smaller companys... Do you guys not know how the industry works?? Of course there is going to be someone trying to take all the credit. My question if he was the sole maker of the lights... why not patent them.. then have complete contol over pricing and WHO gets them from his company instead of trying to compete with all other places??
I deal with this every day!

Why go through all this BS... just to save $40 over buying them on Ebay.. and having complete security you will get ure money back from pay pal if anything should happen.

Just my .2 cents

My understanding was and is that Ray is Spyder Auto. If as you say they are different entities both selling the same product where did Sypder Auto's representative go? If Spidey53...whatever his name was, stole a set of lights from Ray, as Jesse says, that would imply that the company he was referring to in his posts is in fact Ray's company.

I don't know if that's the case or if a set of lights were stolen but I think it's important to clear up who's who before sending a guy a bunch of my money.
