Rebuilding b6de head

Post by civic_kicker »

i have a b6t bottom matched to a b6de head that im about to rebuilt i just dont know wich valve may fit there sny other valve except oem mx3 one may fit there?

BTW may the miata intake be a better option than the mx3 intake because of the lenth of the runner? thnx to all

Is the solid lifter ever beeing done by someone here?

Cars runned 148whp at 7 psi last summer :)

IIRC the DOHc mx3 head used larger intake valves than that of the b6t, i believe the exhaust valves are the same for the miata mx3 and 323.
The dohc mx3 head uses a different intake manifold pattern than that of the miata and 323, trust me i know.

Not to sure if someone has done a solid lifter setup on the b6, though it would be nice, rev that lil fuc*** to the moon :D

Your setup is just like mine right? b6t bottom and b6de head right?

What type of cam are you using? Now im running the stock b6de cams put i have found a b6t cam to fit on the intake side and use the stock b6de cams on the exhaust side what do you thinbk of that?

I have read on turbomiata forum an how to perform the solid lifter mods bt using focus zetec lifter might be a funny thing to do i will see since the top end of my b6t is 6500 rpm do i really need ti rev past that?.... if so i will need to upgrade the entire valve train valve, valve spring retainer and all the kit wich mean a lot of cash and what about the b6t bottom my base have just being rebuilted last year to oem specs is that base and stock b6t pistons will like the feeling of 7000,8000 rpm.... not to sure im planning to run on the safe side around 200-220 whp might be right for me i also have a GT2854R BB Turbo wich might be the tool for that.

How much power at the weel's you have?
Any sugestion or idea that might help me

BTW Im about to install my Megasquirt II with the lauch controll and fuel and spark will be running Coil On Plugs.

Comments and idea are welcome.

Yes same setup, I am to running the stock b6de cams. you can swap in the turbo cams, i have a few sets i just never got around to it.
You can take the stock setup the b6de head and b6t block to 7k no problems, i do im planning on taking it to 7.5 possibly even 8k rpms.

As for turbo selection thats up to you, i would personally go with something bigger, but it all depends on what kind of power you want to put down now and in the future, if you want a very linear power band, or a highway monster.
