Just remember not evos are that fast, yet still called evo's. For example the basic evo8:
2.0 4d 0-60=5.9 s 152 mph 261 bhp

A bolt on tuned KLZE NA could take that. On the other hand, most of them are insanely quick!

Those EVOs dont exist in America. We only get 286hp models that run 13 flats in the ¼ with launch control stock and the meanest launches from a stock car I've seen recently.

Doubtfull I see?

lol

Ill post a video on probetalk soon, since that run that guy became my friend lol

he opened up

hes stock.

my clutch was slipping,,

and stock evo 0-60 in 5.9 secs? im sure its faster..

a klze at 5 psi is more than enough to take a stock evo ;)

I cant post the video here as there are no street racing threads.. and yes it was on a public road.

I think whoever doubts a turbo ze, needs to get one themselves or drive one.

Give me a few weeks to change my clutch.

act stage 1 held up for around 3 weeks.

oh and a turbo mx3 is around 0-60 in 5 secs btw.. youtube it.

I own an EVO, so lets set some records straight. Stock boost is 19.5psi peak, trailing down to 14-15psi by redline.

A turbo ze, running 5psi, in a car as light as an mx3, yeah, I see it edging out a stock Evo.

For anyone who thinks they are slow from a roll, DON'T look at the fact that it's AWD, just look at its mph in the quarter-mile. That will tell you how the car accelerates.

Stock my 03 EVO ran 13.30@102mph if I remember correctly, so any car that can top 102mph "should" be able to keep up or beat that from a roll.

I say good kill! If it was an Evo, and you just wailed on him, I would say something is wrong, but that doesn't change the fact that you beat him!

^^^^ Now there goes the explanation. If you see my post I said doubtful on a strip because of that amazing launch they have. In an illegal highway or open run from a roll or longer than a 1/4 mile then yes as I said earlier its believable. My car barely edges one out in a 1/4 mile but on the highway its no comparison so you beating one on the highway is definitely more like it. They trap 102 with a 13.1 1/4 mile and I trap 113mph in the 1/4, isnt it sad how AWD launches can make any overweight car feel fast haha. Also, believe me I know how fast a ZE-T is, I was riding in them before you knew what an MX-3 was. Good luck with the car and turn up that boost when you get the MegaSquirt.

I agree that alot of the Honda crowd gives their cars a bad name.
I own a Honda CRX HF that I am still working on the side. The CRX is the only Honda (besides the NSX) that I would own because the CRX is becoming more rare. Plus it reminds me of my MX3.

The thin metal on the CRXs, means rust will eat through the body quicker. Many of these high school ricers cant afford a shop to do a legit job on such thin metal. They also dont have the knowledge to do a LEGIT job on fixing the rust. Unless that means putting bondo over the rust... which I found on my CRX after a previous ricer owner. However, most ricers dont have the knowledge to do a legit paint job ether.

I have went through the junkyards searching for a D16 motor. What do I find? A bunch of riced out Hondas with BROKEN MOTORS. Why?
One example: Ricer Joe Billy with the 94 Honda Civic, automatic transmission, decided it would be cool to do a f***ed up paint job on his car. Not only that, he decided to put on a ricer muffler and let his engine overheat. Which resulted in a busted headgasket. Since Billy didnt have any money or actual knowledge, he sold his car to the junkyard. Besides, the car was now worthless.

I go to CRXCommunity.com. I have my MX3 on my avatar. No douche bags in there, as a matter of fact, they are really respectful. I had some people ask me about a MX3 with a KLZE. They are all cool, im glad to be in another car forum where people know how to fix their stuff.

I have owned 3 mx-3's, in particular a SE which I sold to Whytbishop. I loved those cars and always will and have never owned a car I have been that proud or passionate to own. I bought a brand new rx-8 after sellingmy mx-3 after 10 yrs and must say it was the biggest POS i ever owned. Since then I bought a 2001 Honda prelude since I always wanted one when they made them but couldnt afford it and have to say it put the rx8 to shame. Honda quality is great, the gas mileage is solid and straight line performance is compareable to the 48,000$ rx8. I am not saying I would never buy mazda again since my sister owns a mazda3 gt and its an awesome car, but i certainly lost a lot of respect for mazda after the rx8 and the customer service they providided. I would def like to own a 93 or 94 rx7 tt though  just my 2 cents

Yes you have alot of ricers but there all also many fast Hondas, around my way there are a number of 9 and 10 second street Hondas and many others are in the low 12s and high 11s. And watch out for K swapped EGs and EKs, theyre monsters even when all motor.

Not many around here running K swaps. Alot of them are bustin ls vtec's and gsr swaps. For awhile there, they were into the z6, boosted that is. very impressive numbers people have pulled from y8's and z6's on boost, for being such a small a-- motor.

Only reason I do not like Honda that much is because it is hard to find an unmolested Civic or Integra...

Honda are not that bad actually, more hp per liter. Their styles are also sort of nice.

Mazda didn't think of making an MX3 turbo, instead they left it up to us to make our car fast...it's just not fair.
