FWIW, I've decided to "subsidize" the donations to mx-3.com

All I'm asking is that you guys pay for half and I will cover the other half.

In other words, you pay $15 and I will cover the other $15 (5% as per site rules).


Second deposits are required by the second week of October, please get them in on time as this stage is production and I cannot afford to front any more money on this project!

I've started receiving 2nd deposits, thanks to those keeping pace as it helps out in the end. As mentioned, I expect to have a prototype by Friday; I'ts still early in the process but i feel confident we won't have many fitment issues.

Kinda but not. I'm serious going to get the MazdaSpeed hatch window, but I have no idea what it looks like or even how it's going to mount, but for what I guess it's going to have a lip for it to be rivtted on...and I definitely don't want to do that do the hatch. I'm sure I could get those shaved off and mounted like the stock hatch, but I was curious if that it could be squeezed between the two layers. CorkSport hasn't seen one in over 5 years, and I haven't ordered it yet, and when I do it'll take 6-8 weeks for it to come in. I tried e-mailing MazdaSpeed but they didn't respond, I should try calling them for some info, but i'm thinking, if it came down to it and depending on how things are with the window and CF hatch, would be possible to leave mine in 2 pieces and get them joined later.

Just too many unknows, but I feel like I'm being a pain despite that I don't want to, but i guess that's what happens when you try to do stuff no one has ever done, and I just want to do it right, know what i mean. I'd like to order the MS hatch soon, but I still need parts to actually start work to get my car running again, so my priorities are mixed. Even then, I've been in a paying-off mood and I've been destroying my debts lately (in a good way) where I think I can be pretty much debt-free (with the exption of the truck loan) by the end of the month (and it's quite the chunck of change), so I'd rather take it easy on the large spending and try to wait to see what happens in the new year since I have no idea what work is going to be like after december, and the Mx-3 isn't going anywhere (as in I'm not giving up or selling her)

This brings up an interesting question. Does anybody have any insight as to the mounting procedure for the Mazdaspeed Lexan rear window? I'd like to get one too.

Once I get my hatch, I'm going to put in my Lexan window, and put it in my worklog.
