generations of RX7. I think FD is third gen, the roundy body style, and FC is the one with the flatter lines. The SA/FB is the first gen, the REALLY pointed nose one.

Makes sence...thanks!

An RX7 would be awesome. I don't know why i'm still stuck on these MX's...I really think there will always be at least one in my garage. First car...met my girl a few months later...memories...makes me remember.

Always liked something a little different. I've always wanted to turbo, I just think its such a waste of money to spend that kind of time on a rust bucket. I'm hoping I can prolong my dream with the JDM model. How sweet would a '93 limited edition turbo be...WOW.

I just can't understand gett a RHD MX3... I have thought about it but after looking at what you get... it's not worth it. Same engine, same exterior except for the front lip and thats it. I know the interior is different but it almost seems easier and cheaper to just get the interior and do it over time! I would much rather get an FD for a little more money!

I totally agree. And with the "skilled" drivers around this city, I would not feel very safe driving on the right and left hand turns at some intersections.

I had a really bad experience with tigerjapanese that had to do with their honesty so I won't deal with them. I have know others who have bought rh drive vehicles from them and were happy with the outcome. One guy just lives around the corner from me. He bought an awesome looking Miata. Ya I've heard the government wants to ban lh drive vehicles

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I guess if you're willing to look outside the box there are lots of nice cars other than the MX3. I'm not buying one for the RHD status. I want a rust free car. I currently own 3 fully operable MX-3 that I daily drive. All three have good and bad's but nothing can stop the rust. If I could find a clean MX regardless of RHD or LHD I would happily pay $4500, especially if it only had 100 000km. This is the only factor that will make or break my decision. I plan on having at least one "nice" MX-3 my whole life. If I can't save a north american one from our snow and salt abuse, I'd like one that will never see either.

I was in calgary last november...I totally agree. I live in a small town (18, 000). Born and raised. I ride a CBR 600 F4i in the summer and still think thats more dangerous than any car, LHD or RHD. To each their own I guess.

I think the issue people have had is the discrepancy between the straight and curved neck K8, KL-ZE, KL-DE etc...is this where you had problems? I think the language barrier has something to do with it but in all honesty, I have bought multiple motors from them and had water in the heads, and a hole in the front valve cover...for $350 it was still a bargain. The difference between buying a car, and a motor is no one would buy a car without seeing/test driving it first, whereas a motor is paid for and shipped before you get to see it let alone test it.

This is totally true...I bought my third MX last fall and it is in the best shape of all three. The first one I paid too much at $2750 three years ago, considering the mileage and auto tranny. The last I felt like I stole at $300 considering the shape its in. The sticker on the plate was from 2004...it had sat on a concrete driveway for the better part of four years.

I'll see what they look like when it arrives from Japan. No money until I'm 100% satisfied.

I think it would be worth while actually doing the ZE/DE turbo set up on a low mileage-rust free car. Otherwize, it should just be for the learning experience and for fun. If you plan on keeping it, do it to a car that will last more than 5 years. Just my 2c.

In Ontario, the requirements is that the car must have a sign, in contrast to the body colour, at least 55mm in lettering height, that states that it is a right-hand drive vehicle.
Actually you do NOT need the sign. There is a sub clause to that O'Reg law that states that you only need the sign if the vehicle does not have proper signalling devices.

Car has turn signals....therefore...no sign needed.
