(FS/Trade) Wilwood Big brake kit in NY for MINT SE seats +$

These brakes have a total of 700 street miles on them. A new engine was installed at the same time these brakes where so they are all pretty much break in miles.

This setup consists of modified 95 EGT spindles that have been powdercoated, wilwood 4 piston brake calipers, willwood 2 piece 11" rotors, Russell stainless brake lines, new oem hubs, ARP chromemoly wheelstuds, new oem hub bearings, new ball joints, new tie rod ends, and a pair of custom machined 8mm aluminum spacers. With the spacers installed these brakes will clear both 95 EGT and 99/2000 ZX2 S/R wheels (both 15 inch). I havn't tried any other OEM wheels on them.

I weighed these spindles at 29.4 pounds as pictured with ball joints, tie rod ends and brake lines. I weighed worn out stock components and got a weight of 36lbs even. Thats 6+lbs weight saving per corner for you autox'ers and the like.

The price is $1200 outright or I'll deduct a couple hundred for a showroom condition set of SE front seats. The seats must be in absolute perfect condition or I am not interested.

Those sure look purdy. Do they take the small 1992 or larger shaft ball joint?

These spindles use the smaller ball joint. The escorts didn't get the larger ball joint till 97 (3rd gen).

Crunched some numbers and I would need to get 1200 in order to sell these.

And the spindles may actually be third gen escort spindles with the larger ball joint. I'll confirm tomorrow when I take the pics.

Everything will definitely fit. It would just be a matter of what year ball joint would work with these spindles. I took a quick measurment and came up with a 15-16mm diamater. I beleive that is the later style ball joint.

Whats the deal on these. Looking at that spindle it doesn't even look modified at all. Are these some sort of direct fit wilwood brakes that you got somewhere. I have EGT wheels on my mx3 and these brakes would look awesome behind them.

There was quite a bit of work done to these spindles in order for them to accept a standard Wilwood Dynalite caliper. The mounting ears where first cut down and rounded. The original holes where filled in and new holes drilled in the proper location for Wilwood calipers and 11" rotors. The ears where then milled to space the caliper properly and threaded steel inserts where pressed in. After test fitting everything the spindles where dissasembled, sand blasted and powder coated.
