fix it or chuck it?

Post by tmac4t4 »

the plastic liner inside my drivers fender is all bent outta shape and is constantly rubbing on my tire, is this peice needed? other than the obvious of keeping dirt from the engine bay.. ive seen guys run their air intake into the fenderwall, so did that mean they had to remove that liner for the fresh air?

I was just kidding, I really don't know the diff. sorry. I would say if you can just leave them on, you said somwhere that you wanted to get low profile tires anyway, right?

I recommend -

Keep it, or replace it (Scap Yard!!)
Duct Tape. Universal fix-all.
A well placed screw.
Heat bend it back.

Don't even laugh that might work. Heat guns are fairly common...

He could pull it from any MX in a scrap yard. The people probably wouldn't know what it is, and therefore couldn't charge him a whole lot.

Same similar thing happend to me as well, I wound up somehow ripping part of a corner off, so strange. Wound up drilling out a couple holes and using industrial tie-wraps proped it kinda back in the same place. No more catching on my suspension while turning.
