Help!! me rear speakers are not working

Post by Cantary »

I need help I have a 94 Mx-3 and I had a anitfreeze hose just break under my disturburtor and killed it. I have just replaced the hose and the disturbortor but now my subwoofer is barely wokring and my speakers in the back are not working. they work just fine in front I tried up there and in each others spot. I looked at all the wiring and it is perfectly fine there too. I am lost to what to do I have had this set in my car working just fine for five months and now it doesn't work. Also I have no horse power what so ever my alternate is brand new and just fine I had it tested. That also happened after My hose blew. My car has problems and I like to get them fixed so can you please post back to me on what to do or what to try.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Your rear speakers are likely just blown. If you want to test them you can disconnect the two leads from each speaker, and probe the two leads (on the speaker) simultaneously with a 9 volt battery for a very short period of time, a fraction of a second. If you hear a static pop out of the speaker, it still works to some degree, and should produce sound.

As Daninski said, you can't just remove a distributor and install another one, without timing it, and expect everything to be okay. That's likely why you have no power. The stereo situation is probably unrelated.
