SAFCii & rx7 MAF concerns

Post by mazdax3speed »

i have a BPT swap into a 95, with the necessary wiring under dash, using the rx-7 NA MAF, just wired up my SAFCii last night

first question is on the SAFC after you select 'flap' sensor type you have 'in' and 'out' with numbers 0-7, what are you supposed to set those numbers as so it reads right?

second question checked the MAF yesterday with just the ignition on car not cranked, if i remember correctly 2wires read 0volts and 2wires read 5volts, but there was no 12volt, is this a problem or is this right? (the car has been running for months now, no serious problems just rich)

also does anybody have a pdf file for the SAFCii user guide? since the neo has come out apexi took it off of their website, and all i can find online is the original SAFC user guide (i own the wiring guide)

lastly while your reading this, i drilled out the finger size circle on top of the MAF to expose the flathead screw underneath, no matter how much i turn the screw it does not read a different signal or output on the SAFC, has anybody messed with this screw to modify their rx-7 MAF? if so what exactly did you do to get it to run better?

bump

idle is fixed at around 1400rpms, but only by still having a vacuum reference on the turbo inlet duct, i believe this is a MAF problem, ive tried many different things to get rid of this hose, but it will not idle with out it

ive set the SAFCii flap sensor to 7in 7out after reading somewhere that is correct, but have read on clubprotege about hooking up a 3gen RX7 map sensor for the SAFC instead of using the TPS, but have yet to decide on wether or not to take that path
