94 1.6L mass airflow sensor in place of a 92 mx3 MAF

I have a question. Im working on my air intake and my mass airtake meter broke on my 92 1.6L 4cyl mx3. I was wondering if i could update this part with a 94 1.6L mx3's mass airflow sensor? will the wiring harness still fit in the sensors connector? The parts are near the same price, the airflow sensor about 20 dollars more and it will just make it easier to hookup a ram air intake or cold air intake idepending on which i chose. I ordered both because time is a necessity but both are fully returnable if unused. Any insight?

lame, my friend tried to put a cold air intake in and couldnt figure out the meter and ripped the wires out from the meter, therefore, i need a new meter. i just wanted to put a sensor in so i could put a better air intake on it. any ways to go about this, cuz my car wont run the second i unplug the sensor and separate it from the tubing. i can take the box of but what good does that do.

u can use a 2nd gen rx-7 vaf inplace of the small 1.6 mx-6 vaf box..
