How to remove tint?
I can barely see out my back window. How do I get the tint off? The defroster is already jacked, so I don't have to worry about it much.

Pure ammonia. Spray it all over the tint, then tape plastic garbage bags against the window to keep the ammonia from evaporating. Try to park with the window in the direct sunlight for a couple of hours. You should then (easier said than done) be able to pull it off. Some razor blades will come in very handy.

Re: How to remove tint?
Thank you! Do I stretch the bags all the way across, because it won't stick to the ammonia? Since the window is curved, there will be a big space under it. Is that okay? How do I keep it from running off before I get the window taped up?

Re: How to remove tint?
You can just tape up three sides, with the fourth side ready to go. Then LIBERALLY spray the ammonia, then tape up the last side. The plastic doesn't have to be vacuum sealed on or anything crazy, it's just to try to keep the ammonia from evaporating. The ammonia softens up the tint so it peels off easier. Most tints are composed of two layers adhered together. You want to try to get both layers off at once.
I'm sure you've tried to take a sticker off something before, where the bottom layer gets left behind and it's a b---- to get off. That's what you want to try to avoid. If it does happen, that's where the razor blade comes in handy.
A heat gun will work to soften up the layers as well.

Re: How to remove tint?
Thanks for the extra input. I'll probably have to use a heat gun, since we have no sun
Maybe I'll do both..
