BP to BP-T Questions....Should I?turbo

Post by JeremyP »

I have a 94 with 93 escort BP....i was thinking about boosting it. My question is how much roughly canadian would it cost to turbo my car?..i want a nice little set up..but nothing over 1200 if possable....what parts would i need to buy? id be open to used parts...im not really building it up for track use...just some more power...its my daily driver so something that would last too...any suggestions would help!...thanks.

Jeremy.

i put a turbo on my 4 banger, lots of peeps will tell ya its not worth doing and just to do a motor swap. but if you want to get a little more juice out of it, it should be ok. If your thinking to run over 10 psi you'll blow it up in no time. if u want to do it still your gonna need a new exhaust manifold, (i made my own) a turbo, i got one off a talon for cheap, an intercooler, intercooler pipeing, bigger fuel pump, larger injectors, a blow off valve, boost guage, fittings for oil lines and coolant, boost controler, new downpipe, couplings. and im probably forgeting a few things but i did mine for about a grand. i got some parts off of ebay, all the pipes 2.5 stainless steel uj's from http://www.exhaustdirect.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; located in london ont, for an excellent price and the fittings from like crappy tire and other places. any other questions feel free to ask

with what u want to spend u'll get what u pay for.... in the route u want to go do it right or in due time its BYE BYE BP..

my only suggestion is engine management i can't stress how important and a vital key in any boosted setup..

U can be cheap & reliable but not fast

U can be reliable & fast but not cheap

U can be fast & cheap but not reliable

U can't have all Three believe me!!!
