Thanks, excited to get to work on this car!! ? for you guys do lifter rattles go away after a certain rpm range? the guy i bought it from said the lifter was rattling and that it goes away after 2k

I've got a 4 cly and it does go away after a little while, I've read in the mazda shop books that holding the idle over 2,000 rpm for 10 sec to a min should get rid of it. Just something that happens with these motors.

I'm starting to think its the power steering pump, I can put the car in neutral and try and turn the steering wheel at idle and itll be like i have no power steering at all but once i rev up to 2k the tick goes away and power steering is there!
