RS and GS rear spindles the same!?

Post by Franko »

According to the mazda parts cataloug, they are. They have the same part # and look the same. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, the rear pads on a gs.. do they fit any other mazda/ford besides an mx?

The front spindles are the same on all years. The 94+ Mx-3's are the same on the rears. Now the 92/93 I4 Mx's have drum brakes, so I can't remember if the drum part comes off the spindle, or you have to replace the whole spindle to swap the disc brakes. The Escort and Protege rear spindle's will fit, but they use different calipers, so you'll have to use that car's brake pads.
