what do you guys think...

Post by powerman_5000 »

Do you guys think a mx-3 would be able to be modified for rally racing? I'm not talking about the weak rally racing in local cities, I mean the hardcore rally racing at like Pike's Peak and so on. Do you think it would even stand a chance? I'm thinking of modifying my MX-3 for rally racing. Give me your input on what you think.

by all means, go for it. it doesn't seem like there's a lot of suspension travel (jesse, help me out on this) but I think it'd work pretty well. you'll probably want to modify the front bumper (if you have the chin spoiler) so it doesn't hit the ground all the time, but the back bumper is perfect for rallying--it doesn't hang out very far or very low behind the back wheels. do your research, and good luck. you'll have to custom-make a lot of stuff to make this car hold up, but i think it'd be sweet.

I thought there was already a rally mx-3 out there? Maybe you can find and talk to him for pointers and parts companys. All the luck maybe some day you'll be on TV?<BR>DriversClub

I did some calculations to see what a kind of dollar signs I would be looking at and let's just say I won't be doing this for a while, at least until I got my degree in programming and butcher a couple of programs. With my wage now I won't be even close and all I did was check how much it was to get the frame of the car redone with tube framing.
