I can't quite remember what circuits are on the room fuse. But if it involves the dash lights, a common problem in any car is the tiny bulbs in the dash blowing. Sometimes, the filaments inside these bulbs melt in a way where the contacts short together.

Dash lights, tail lights, interior lights, daytime running lights (if applicable), and the stereo dimmer lights (has this been changed recently?)

If you have a aftermarket stereo a bad wiring job can affect tha, check for shorts or bad connections there.
