That's usually caused by using the car's dimmer wire as the radio's ground. This is a common mistake that people make, because the wire shows ground until you turn on the parklights. Thanks for all your input, removed the radio today, found what looked like a spiders web behind it. Lights now work fine, will have to rewire the radio
, may even treat it to a new one
