sun roof

well im pissed my sun roof will not close for s---
its all the way open and the engine will not even whirl when i attempt to close but it whirles when i push the open botton ,the botton got stuck too

checked the fuse and it looks good

any help ? on how i can close it manually ?

I don't want to start guiding you through on something I'm not sure about, but I would think that you could narrow things down if you could access the wiring to the switch and bypass it. Sounds like a faulty switch.

There is a way to close it manually but the UBB search function seems to be nonfunctional at the moment so I couldn't dig up a past thread on the subject. Might try again later.

Drop down your ceiling liner.. use the hand crank (or allen wrench) inserted into the hex hole on the sunroof motor.. turn it till the sunroof closes.

dont even got to take the liner off. there's a lil disk in the middle of the liner that you can twist off and exposes that hex hole tunes is talking about

well on my 94 there was no twist off hole so i had to slightly pull down the back end and saw the motor , i just cant find the crank

Then use a allen wrench.. The hand crack came with the car originally from the factory.. but that doesnt mean its still with the car after all this time. Mine wasnt.

lol now all i need is a monkey to twist it for me untill i get a new wotor

i thought you were a monkey. :P

i have an extra sunroof motor lying around if yours is fried. i believe i paid about 30 bucks for it before i found out that mine was just unplugged...
